Basic Venue that Worked
8.0Stayed here for the Sand in your Boots festival. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the festival venue and for that I will say it was awesome. The condo itself was nothing spectacular for the overall cost. It was basic, has basic amenities and nothing extra like cooking spices or things of that nature that I've had in other places I've stayed. It got the job done by providing us a place to lay our heads at night, although the beds were hard and squeaky. They did not have black out curtains or shades...only a basic curtain over the sliding glass doors and blinds over the windows, so if any sort of light bothers you, you will definitely need eye masks or a pillow over your head. I did the latter. The stairs to enter the condo are terribly steep, so beware if you have issues navigating even normal stairs. The water pressure was great and plenty of hot water for showers. The walk-in shower on the first floor was quite snug. They did provide extra toilet paper, paper towels and toiletries so that was good. You could hear the people outside at the pool the evening after the fest concluded but that wasn't the host's fault. Overall it worked for what we needed, but I would definitely choose a different place in the future to stay if I returned to Gulf Shores and wasn't limited due to an event.
