Nice, quiet location with easy access to public transport. Family were nice and friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

− When I arrived the lovely lady that answered didn't really speak English, so just directed me to my room upstairs. About 10 minutes later a young lady arrived, the daughter of the owner, who was very nice. My only complaint is there was no orientation, explanation of the facilities, where I could go, what I could use etc..So consequently I didn't know details of how to use the bathroom facilities or for the next morning - was breakfast available, if so what? I didn't just want to help my self as this was a family home. A little more clarity would have been nice. I did ask in the morning about breakfast but got a puzzled look, so in the end I just left without having eaten. Also, there was a robe in the room, which I presumed was for my use, but was way too small! I am quite big, but it seemed like a very small size. I also couldn't get the wifi to accept the passkey - I tried several times (some caps, no caps as stated etc...) but wouldn't work - not sure if it has changed from what is written on the card in the bedroom?

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The whole property was clean as a whistle. The grandmother and daughter were really sweet.

− This property was advertised as ‘Pets Allowed, no extra charge’, so my dog and I booked instantly. When we arrived there was nobody to let us in. A gentleman who lives at the property (upstairs) arrived after a while and was very unwelcoming, asking me if the landlady knew I had booked with a dog as she wouldn’t allow it. I explained that it wasn’t specifically mentioned on the Booking.com site that letting them know was a necessity. After about half an hour of ringing around, the landlady’s daughter arrived and was very welcoming and apologetic, and showed me where things were. I didn’t see an exercise room (which I would have used). The furniture/decoration wasn’t my taste, however I could have looked past this if the house wouldn’t have smelled of cigarette smoke. It needs to be clearly stated in the Booking.com ad that this is a household where at least one person smokes and it wasn’t. After I took my dog out, the landlady’s daughter told me she had spoken with her mother who wasn’t happy about my dog being there and that she wanted to charge me more for the dog per night, which I refused. I felt extremely uncomfortable after this and unwelcome, specifically because I didn’t receive an apology from the landlady for not being in touch with me about waiting to be let in and about it being her responsibility to be clear about a ‘no pet’s policy’ in the ad which was not my responsibility to figure out. I ended up going home early and didn’t stay the second night (which I had already paid for) as I didn’t feel at ease or comfortable staying.
