I wish we had a better experience, but the place just didn’t feel very clean nor comfortable.

− No windows in the bedroom or bathroom, so it felt stuffy. To be fair l should have looked through the photos properly as perhaps it shows this.

The location was excellent for staying with my dog - great access to walks from the motel. Enjoyed the local wetlands walk. Appreciated the peace and quiet. I stayed in a 2 bedroom unit (as a single) so it was very spacious for one! The kitchen was very well equiped and had everything needed for basic cooking. Excellent stop-over point for my journey between Te Anau & Christchurch.

− Interesting bathroom - it was large, with a large shower, but only had a tiny wash hand basin which made it hard to use for anything more than washing your finger tips! There were no hooks/rails for towels (though there was a shelving unit for toileteries) and there was no soap or showergel for the shower. Since the units are built in back-to-back terraced configuration, there were no windows in the bedrooms. The view from the large ranch slider (and door) is just of the side wall of the adjacent pub (not an issue for an overnight stay) They did have high up veluxes, which initially I thought did not open. Discovered later - yes - do open .... slowly, but since it was raining I was unclear as to whether it was safe to do so. There was no information folder in the unit, though I was given the wifi code and contact phone number of the owners by email.

The rooms were large. I like the skylights.

− No soap, shampoo or milk, which I thought was strange considering the accommodation is on the A2O route so many guests must be bike packing etc and probably don’t have shampoo with them, but weirdly there was a hairdryer.
