10.0Nearness to Bus stand
Unbearably noisy area, hard to rest, would not recommend
2.0Closeness to shops
− The location seems good, but it is a menace. There are 24/7 PSAs from the bust stand just on the other side of the adjacent street. Not just the announcements, but also police-like wailing sirens between them. Spending the night at this place seemed like staying in Guantanamo prison, where one is tormented with constant automated voice. Besides that there’s a rooster in the yard, that wakes up at 3am. And dogs wailing and barking. By the way I needed to get to the train station from the hotel at some 3:30am, and the street at that time was full of aggressive dogs. Some of them were following me and I had to find a stick to fend them off in case any got too close. The place has no WiFi and the mobile network signal there is rather weak. For the price charged I’d expect a WiFi at the very least. The person doing the check-in was very dry, not a “welcome” or any other kind word, just literally: “passport… visa… pay…”. I’ve stayed at much nicer and cheaper places and at least the hosts were very welcoming. The room I booked was supposed to have a mountain (Arunachala) view - it did not. The sink in the bathroom was so filthy I was reluctant to use it.
