Heerlijk rustig
9.0Heel leuk huisje met prachtig zicht op het landschap. Vriendelijke mensen die echt hun best doen om het je zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Iets verwijderd van het centrum, maar met de tuktuk (die je gewoon via whatsapp kan aanvragen aan de mensen van de accomodatie), sta je zo in het centrum. Echt genoten van de rust. Elke ochtend wordt er vers ontbijt gemaakt dat geserveerd wordt op je terras.
Great quiet stay in the middle of nature.
9.0Beautiful location in the middle of nature, quite far from town so be prepared for that. Our family prefers quiet places so we were happy to travel to Ella.

10.0The location is great with a fantastic view of the mountains and waterfall. Hosts were wonderful and responsive, organising laundry and tuk tuks for us. Tuk Tuks were 1000 rupees to the main street, but there are also some family run places to eat in easy walking distance. The room was clean with heaps of space and a balcony facing the view. Breakfast was brought to the balcony each morning and included fruit, yogurt, Sri Lankan food, toast, eggs, coffee, tea, juice... so good! We traveled as a family with two kids and they loved exploring around and checking out the wildlife (lizards, birds, peacocks etc.)

5.0− Be aware of the tuk-tuk scam before booking! The hotel itself is in a nice, peaceful location, and the breakfast was good. However, there is one major issue that completely ruined the experience for us. You cannot reach the hotel by car, so you are forced to use a tuk-tuk for the last few minutes of the journey. A normal ride should cost around 250 LKR, but there is clearly a monopoly here, and they charge 1,000 LKR per trip. The hotel only includes one free ride on arrival and one on departure, no matter how many nights you stay. Every other trip to or from Ella town costs the inflated price. This is something that should be made very clear before booking because it adds a significant extra cost to your stay. If I had known about this in advance, I would have booked a different hotel. The hotel and breakfast are good, but the transportation arrangement completely outweighs the positives. I would not stay here again.
