Freundlich, eine Nacht nach Konzert

Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung im Souterrain war schön kühl, im Sommer perfekt. Insgesamt gibt es vier Einzelbetten in zwei Zimmern. Da wir nur zu zweit waren hatte jeder ein eigenes Zimmer. Das Bad sieht relativ neu renoviert aus. Ein Fön und Toilettenpapier ist vorhanden. Und es gab für jeden zwei Handtücher, damit hatten wir nicht gerechnet und eigene gepackt. Das Bad ist niedrig auch der Treppenaufgang ist niedrig, aber alles machbar. Die Küche gaben wir nicht benutzt, nur kurz gesessen. Wir waren nur eine Nacht in Düsseldorf für ein Konzert. Die Betten sind bequem und trotz der Nähe zum Flughafrn haben wir gut geschlafen.

− Nicht gefallen ist in diesem Sinne falsch ausgedrückt. Im Bad fehlt eine Handtuchstange oder Haken für die Handtücher zum aufhängen.

Toplocatie om dichtbij het vliegveld te slapen. Je slaapt in het soutterain, dus je hebt vrijwel geen ramen, maar dat kan juist een voordeel zijn als je vroeg naar bed moet zoals wij.

− Enige nadeel was dat het er wat muf rook. En als je langer bent dan 1.90 mtr dan pas je niet meer in de douche.

Comfortable beds with fresh linen with extra blankets and heater in bedroom. Good wi-fi. Sensor light in kitchen is good for walking to toilet in the night. Great hot water in shower. Nice to have some tea bags available on kitchen table. Very quiet area, double glazed windows keep most of the aircraft noise out.

− The most obvious issue is no door between the house and the apartment, just basement stairs. Even a thick curtain would be better than nothing. It’s a long walk on cold tiles to bathroom (15 steps from bedroom) and there’s no heating in any other room except the bedroom. The bathroom had no bath mat, the shower had missing glass panel so was open for showers which meant a wet tiled floor - we hung a towel up to help but it got wet! No soap dish in shower, only place to put soap was floor of shower. Toilet seat broken and offset from toilet, the bathroom fan exhausts to the kitchen, which might explain why the kitchen smells a bit! The bathroom door lock is broken, the kitchen door doesn’t close fully and the kitchen has rough cut holes in the plasterboard for various plumbing pipes and electrical wires. There’s a large brown stain in the kitchen near the rubbish bin on the walls in the corner - perhaps water has leaked from the bathroom? Noticeable musty / mouldy smell in kitchen mostly. We broached all of these issues with the owner and he fixed a couple of the easy ones, but the two really important things (no security between house and appartment and no en-suite) he seemed uninterested/unwilling to talk about. We suggested a refund of some sort would be in order, but he wanted to tie that to us leaving a dishonest review, which we were not prepared to do.
