A pleasant stay, but could have been made much better with some care and attention.

It was clean and spacious.

− The scrap items outside were an eyesore, the part of a gate to the parking area was a nuisance as it only opened outwards, because bins were in the way inside the property, and someone had to hold the gate open whilst driving out, to stop it swinging backwards and hitting the car. The spare bed, not adequate for a child, not exactly a suitable sleeping arrangement for a holiday, and especially not with a sleeping bag. We brought our own child’s bedding as we were forewarned about use of a sleeping bag. My elderly parents were with us and my mums mobility is not good. The steep steps up to the front door made the stay difficult, although the bungalow itself was great for mobility. The property needs new cutlery, as the cutlery there was stained and didn’t look very clean. The tall fridge freezer was full of drinks. I had to take the drinks out of it to make room for ours, then realised afterwards that there was a sticker on the door to say “owners fridge”. The utility room smelt strongly of turps, and after investigation, found a used bottle of the chemical under a cupboard. A bedroom in the property was kept locked. This felt quite creepy, as it felt that someone could be in there, next door to where we were sleeping.
