10.0This was our last stop on our tour through New Zealand and we are so happy we got to spend four days at the Villetta and surrounding area. The Villetta is perfectly nestled against a hillside and set in a garden of banana trees, olive trees and beautiful flowers. We loved sitting outside on the terrace and listen to the native birds sing. The inside of the Villetta is tastefully arranged and the kitchen is fully stocked. The bed very comfortable and the linens are so luxurious. The location is close to Matakana where we explored shops and restaurants. On Saturday's there is a farmers market which is phenomenal! The beach is a 10 minute drive, there are lots of hiking options around the area. Kim and Mr. Miko are the most gracious hosts you will ever meet. They made us feel so welcome and we look forward to visiting them again in the future.

10.0Beautiful, quiet spot just outside of Matakana but super close to everything in the area. The property was super idyllic and Kim was a helpful and kind host with lots of recommendations for the local area. Very comfortable accomodation and exactly as described. Loved it!
− Was no problem to us at all but note that the second bedroom and the bathroom are accessed through the first bedroom so if privacy is a concern keep this in mind.

5.0Location is great and outdoor area good. It was very clean
− This is definitely not luxury or boutique and should not be advertised as this. This is actually a converted garage with all that goes with that - condensation, cold, damp, odd layout, no space in kitchen area. There is actually only one bedroom with a closing door so you have to walk through the other area with a bed to get to the bathroom. The beds, although made beautifully, seemed like they were cheap beds with very soft toppers so when two people were laying in them it formed a hump in the middle of and you almost fell out each side 🤣! In fact one member of our party who admittedly does have a dicey back drove back to Auckland to sleep as the bed would have been the end of him walking for the rest of the weekend. This unit should be advertised as a one bedroom with a separate area for kids to sleep. It is not suitable for two couples.
