Good view, poor welcome
5.0Cool old building with great view and late afternoon sunshine
− No niceties- bring your own coffee, extra towels, tight on toilet paper (!). Not comfy beds. Lots of weird bugs inside. Very cheeky to charge extra for late check in when it’s just a key lock box code and no human interaction
Disappointed in the care given to this property and to those who rent it.

− Poorly maintained and only minimally stocked with supplies. The owner or manager was completely unresponsive to communications. We stood with all our luggage outside the locked gate for an hour waiting to be given the code to enter the premises.

8.0Beautiful views and location is to die for, very spacious and amazing to have our own villa and garden, rooms are very large and comfortable beds, beautifully furnished. A true cultural experience.
− Some amenities could be more modernised, small details like additional coffee pods, bin bags, diswashing tablets could be provided and some more information about querks of the property to make our stay more comfortable.

4.0We waited two hours in the rain to finally receive code for access. Was told to be there at 4:00, which forced us to hire driver for $500. Nobody ever met us, so the driver expense was a waste. Wonderful Italy was booking agent, and they were not wonderful I stayed in two other hotels on this trip, and I gave great reviews. I am not one to give a bad one, but this was terrible.

5.0Location and view from the villa are great. We would have enjoyed it if history of the villa was available.
− No response after several messages to the manager regarding where to park (no weekend response?) - we struggled to find a place-ended up parking for 4 nights at the train station, which was super expensive. Villa was very cold - no heat available during the rainy, cold spell when we were there. Not enough dishwasher soap, toilet paper, coffee pods - had to purchase for the short stay. Also, guests should be warned about the many, many steps up to the villa. We are seniors and hauling luggage up there was challenging.
