A great position: close to beach. Well provisioned with appliances, crockery and glassware. A spacious layout for a family holiday.

A lot of rules for the renter on cleaning and maintenance whilst staying and for departure but absolutely no maintenance

Layout

− Bbq was unusable - covered in mould with grill very unclean. Outside furniture covered in cobwebs. No TV wifi connection with owner contacted by real estate agent to look at as misleading information on how to access streaming services provided in their booklet. Floors were dirty upon arrival to the property. Shelf in shower is loose and dangerous Table was wobbly (we thought it was about to collapse) where upon looking under the table showed screws were hanging out which we had to tighten Broken can opener which we replaced as required Milk frother not working Air con in bed 1 smelt of damp when it was running. Owner came to look and advised he cleaned the vents but smell continued Clothesline attached to the back fence could not opened (seized up) and was on the verge of falling down or breaking if we pulled it out. Outside firepit completely rusted and in pieces. Bathroom Window with flyscreen when open gave a direct view in to the next door neighbours backyard (no privacy or ventilation to those in the bathroom or if using the shower).

Location

− The photos of the property have not been updated in years the property needs a maintenance inspection The property wasn’t totally clean, sheets were stained and there were only 2cups 2bowls no sugar

Very relaxing spot to recharge and unwind.

location was great. Across the road from the main safe swimming beach and only a short walk to the ocean beach for excellent fishing. Nothing in the area as far as location goes (not even a coffee van) so make sure you have your supplies, but a short drive to Anna Bay and Nelson Bay for many options. Not too much trouble.

− The frog in the second toilet meant that it was unusable to my children which made that a bit of a problem with only a 'single' toilet. But other than that, the property is lovely.

Great family holiday property in a super location

Great location very close to a small beautiful beach in a quiet location with good parking. Close to a bus stop with direct transport to Newcastle interchange. Well equipped kitchen and good layout for an extended family, having three bathrooms. Agent staff were very responsive and quickly resolved issues we had with no internet and a blocked drain.

− The property was not as clean as we would have expected with quite a large build up of dust and fluff under beds and furniture which indicated that the cleaners only cleaned the exposed floor areas. The TVs in the bedrooms are antiquated and are not Smart TVs and one remote control was missing. The PlayStation had only one handset and that did not work properly. The internet was down from the time we arrived on Friday evening (was it checked before we arrived?) until the agent opened on Monday morning (when the issue was resolved by us being instructed to switch off and on the power in the main fuse box to the house).
