Lovely cozy stay with beautiful views.

The view was incredible. Mid-terrace house with guests on either side, but we couldn't hear anything from our neighbours because the walls are so thick. Never heard a peep. The view of Lake Coniston and surrounding mountains is really special. The trail up to the Walna Scar car park to access Old Man of Coniston is directly behind the property. Short walk to the town center. We walked to the nearby pubs and restaurants for dinner 3 nights of our week long stay. But, the kitchen was also well equipped to cook at home and enjoy the log-burning fireplace. Also, there was a field for guests of Coppermine cottages for dogs to run and play off lead. That was a bonus.

The narrow road to and from the property was a bit tough. We were very lucky because it was only once that my husband met a car going the other way on this road. I would have a hard time coping with this road on my own. My husband is a much more confident driver so it didn't impede us at all and we went out in the car every day.

Once you’ve navigated your way to the top, it’s a very quaint tranquil place

The bin in the kitchen is a joke, and the cistern needs replacing.

The view from the terrace is simply stunning - a perfect stay for the Lakeland 50

A beautiful quirky cottage with the most stunning views over lake Coniston. The beds were comfy and the amenities were spot on.

There is a parking space for the cottage but as advertised it is very tight and steep. Having said that we managed to get a large vehicle in.

Fabulous place to stay in the high heart of Coniston.

Location is superb but if driving, very tight, steep and narrow lanes so beware. Superb views from balcony and just so peaceful.

Lovely cottage but could be even better

Sitting on the terrace with the stunning view over Coniston Water. During a spell of hot weather the cottage itself stayed nice and cool. A good range of kitchen equipment.

Sadly the cleaning had not been completed before we arrived so the downstairs floor needed to be swept and hoovered as well as a wipe around the bathroom. This wasn't dust due to age but evidence of the previous occupants. This is a lovely cottage but more attention to detail is needed to make the stay fantastic e.g. fixing the bin so it closes, repairing the toilet flush, putting a toilet freshener in the empty container, a thorough clean of each room prior to a new stay.

Very enjoyable long weekend. The long drive from Hampshire was worth it.

What a wonderful view from the excellent patio with an elevated tranquil position overlooking Consiton water in the distance. Sitting on a warm June evening gazing out over the view and sipping a glass of wine - life doesn't get much better.

Nothing.
