the location is secluded, very peaceful and the facilities are clean. the staff are very welcoming.

− family room is at the second floor via stairs. not recommended if you have weak senior citizens. the stove is for rent and is very expensive considering the price of the resort. groceries to buy food are quit far but you can settle for the lomi outside. even drinking water is not provided. so you have to bring everything you need before coming. no kitchen utensils provided. water kettle is upon request. no clothes drying rack. stairs can be very slippery.

Didn’t get to stay but experienced enough through incompassionate customer service.

− I was by myself from the United States and then Korea for a swim happening at the resort’s shores. The race organizers had booked me a night somewhere else before race night but I booked here with plans to get to town a day early and say hello to people. I arrived to typhoon threats and afternoon storms that caused multiple floods and jams in Manila. It was uncertain whether the swim down in Batangas (3+ hours) could go forth. So, my friend, my transportation down to the area, canceled on me. After that, I was quoted hundreds of dollars for taxi or shuttle to take me alone to a remote province I’d never been to, at night. I decided to take a ride to with a swim coach the next day IF the swim was still a go. As soon as I knew about this situation I messaged the property and Booking so I could notify whomever got the message soon. Booking bucked me to the property, which, on the day I already told them I couldn’t make it, replied back saying that the weather was fine, though, and hadn’t I asked them the night before about a shuttle service. I had, but they had never replied, leaving me to scramble for quotes from elsewhere - all unaffordable and unsafe-feeling for a lone traveler wanting to go from stormy Manila to Lobo. These messages sounded like a challenge, like I was just trying to trick the establishment just to get money. I wrote back and tried to explain further but heard nothing back ever again. Their solution seemed to be to completely ignore my apolgetic and honest appeals after I was stranded by weather and failed original plans. Hundreds of swimmers ended up going into town. If they had granted me even a partial refund they could still have made up for it. Or at least they could have written back to say sorry but tough luck. When the race did go through and I arrived into town just in time for the safety briefing, I almost went in there to talk with someone. But I already felt unwelcome and misunderstood. Will challenge charge with bank.
