Nice little place to stay, home from home

Nice to have more space than just a hotel room Tastefully decorated The location was perfect for a short walk to downtown Lafayette An initial issue with the code to enter not working was resolved as quickly as it could have been and I received messages from the owner the whole time.

− No wardrobe or any way of hanging clothes up. An ironing board and iron would be a nice touch.

It was clean

− Upon arrival to the property the neighborhood looked very sketchy. We then saw a homeless man half dressed asleep on the porch of an abandoned building next door. The smell of marijuana was strong upon exiting our car. The inside was very nice, neat and clean. But the location completely ruined it. We did not in the least feel safe enough to stay. You could tell the neighborhood was not safe. We decided to find a hotel at this point. We never stayed one night at this location, we didn't even sit down much less unpack our car. When we left the building to get to our car another homeless person was walking around our vehicle. The location just had a very bad vibe. I would not want my family or friends to stay in a neighborhood like this. I don't care how nice the building is. Poop on a cake can look like frosting, but buddy it's still poop. I contacted Acadian Rentals to let them know about our experience and I requested a refund. Their only response via email was they were sorry for my dissatisfaction for their description of the neighborhood and they were actively making changes for accuracy. All I can say is if "HOOD" is not a descriptive term used then is most certainly want be accurate.

Such a cute little gem, right outside of downtown Lafayette. The house was lovely inside and out. The recent renovations and layout of the house makes it feel so much bigger than it is. The vaulted ceilings, and beautiful attention to details in the interior design made this a new place to stay when we visit!
