Nice place but needs to be finished.

Bedrooms are cosy and finished to a high standard of furnishings. Excellent views across the old Zoo. Nice seating area outside around the fire pit. Staff onsite done want they could with was available but very limited.

− Lounge/diner had furniture stored at one end waiting to be installed as a kitchen diner. Exposed wiring and lights hanging down. Hole in ceiling where a velux window is planned. Access through the garage isn’t ideal.

Don’t waste your money!

We loved the locatio as it was a 2minute drive from South Lakes Zoo where we had visited forr the day. After a long day with tired children, it was a welcomed location. We arrived at the time we said we would do and the owners werent far behind us so we didnt mind waiting at all. They showed us the property and left us to it which was ice to have that privacy.

− Unfortunately, the listing advertised kitchen facilities, but upon arriving and planning to pick up groceries for a quiet evening after a busy day, we found there were none. Instead, the living area was being used for storage, with exposed wiring, an inflatable bed still in place, and the space resembled more of a building site than suitable accommodation. In its current state, this property is simply not fit for guests. Had my children been toddlers, we would have had no way to prepare bottles, meals, or even make a cup of tea. Instead, we had to make a quick trip to the nearest town to grab some pizzas and drinks, which was far from ideal given the price we paid. We’ve lodged a complaint with both the owners and Booking.com due to the misleading advertisement and lack of facilities. The owners seem unwilling to address the issue, and trying to get a response from Booking.com has been extremely frustrating—like trying to reach the Vatican. Overall, poor advertising and even worse conflict resolution. Don’t waste your money!

Location was a bit tricky to find, there was a sign for the zoo which is located alongside the accommodation but you couldn't really see it as the trees were overgrown That's down to the council and highways etc get it sorted!!!!!

− Could have had kitchen facilities but we knew there was none when we booked

Amazing Place

Fantastic place and great location. Owners were really nice and incredibly helpful. We all loved sitting around the fire pit in the evening and the view was amazing. Would definitely stay there again
