Overpromised and under delivered
5.0Roberto was very quick to respond to our questions and the views are wonderful from this property.
− When we arrived, we were greeted with an old, dirty dishrag hanging from the kitchen sink, no kitchen towels for drying dishes, no hand soap in either bathroom or the kitchen, and no bathroom toiletries as stated in the Booking.com listing. You need a car to reach this property, unless you enjoy walking great distances up hills with your luggage and along a busy highway to get to the city bus, which does not run on time. The taxi will cost you 25€ one way into town. We were instructed to contact a person who offered driving services. Still, she never returned our calls, and the shuttle only operates on weekends (or so we were told). The second bedroom doesn't have two twin beds; it has a daybed with a second mattress that you pull from the bottom. This arrangement doesn't allow you to walk into the room without stepping on the mattress, and it leaves no area for your luggage. As we were notified by the owner just prior to our arrival, the bathroom located in the entrance area had a door that didn't close properly and if closed you would lock yourself inside the bathroom. This property is not within Courmayeur. It is located just outside the city, so if you decide to stay here, verify the address with the owner before your arrival.
