10.0Excellent. Centrally located but in a quiet side street, this property is a hidden gem. Beyond the modest external facade is a large 'secret garden' courtyard and pool, around which arched cloisters wrap the compound. It provides lovely 'shared' spaces as well as privacy in several separate rooms. Well equipped for self catering, the decor and amenities are a lovely blend of upmarket boutique hotel and homely comfort. Owner was friendly and could not be more helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

10.0If you are looking for a tranquil escape, look no further. Although the point of our stay in Merida was to explore the local attractions, there were days we wanted to say home and relax by the pool, soak in the hot-tub, enjoy the comfort of a movie at home, laze in the shade in a hammock, or prepare a meal in either the outdoor or indoor kitchen. This place is centrally located, quiet, and clean. The host was very intentional in creating an experience for his guests – everything you could possibly need was available to us, including suggestions for local restaurants, shopping, and scenic drives! We will definitely return!
