The property is in a fantastic location with beautiful views, stylish décor, and was clean and well-presented upon arriv
7.0The property is in a prime location, with shops just a two-minute walk away. When we arrived, the house was spotless, well-organised, and very welcoming. The décor was tasteful and added to the overall charm of the property. The beautiful views were an added bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable.
− Rules, rules, and more rules everywhere. There seemed to be a rule for almost everything. The purpose of going on holiday is to relax and enjoy yourself, not to feel stressed about constantly following instructions and restrictions. Hot Tub Issues I have stayed at many properties with hot tubs before, and whenever I arrived, the hot tub was ready to use. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. When we arrived, the water temperature was set very low, making it unusable for several hours. I sent a photo of the temperature reading to the owner, who advised that it would not go higher than 33°C. However, she did not mention that the temperature could actually be adjusted up to 40°C. We eventually discovered this ourselves after spending some time trying to work it out. This was particularly disappointing because one of the main reasons we booked this property was to enjoy the hot tub. Once we were finally able to use it, we discovered another issue. The chemical levels appeared to be extremely high. Within about 10 minutes of being in the water, all of us experienced skin irritation and itching. This was unusual, as I have used hot tubs for extended periods at many other properties without any issues. We tried using it again the following day and experienced the same problem. The irritation was so severe that I developed small cuts and cracks on my hands after using the water. Faulty Electrical Appliances There were also issues with some of the electrical appliances. My partner attempted to use the hair dryer, but it began smoking almost immediately after being turned on. Thankfully, she was not injured, but it could have easily become a safety issue. In addition, the electric blankets in both bedrooms did not work. When we notified the owner, we were advised that there had been brownouts in the area. While we understand that power issues can occur, it was disappointing that these faults had not been identified and resolved before guests arrived.

8.0Perfect location and excellent facilities
Lovely home and location but couldnt relax because of rules and extra charges
5.0House is lovely and location is great but unable to enjoy ourselves and be comfortable
− I was really looking forward to staying here, but that changed as soon as the first message arrived outlining extra charges and restrictions. I wanted to cancel because it was clear the place wasn’t going to suit us, but the booking was non-refundable. Be aware that you aren’t booking the whole property. Children must share existing bedding with adults unless you pay an extra $85 per child. There are many rules and a long list of potential extra fees that are written in the very extensive rules written and posted around the house. When guests raise concerns, the host tends to refute them and place the blame back on the guests so I am hesitant to write this review. My family was allowed to visit, but they couldn’t use the spa unless I paid $50 per person, and they had to leave by 9pm. We were also warned about sitting on any beds we hadn’t paid for. The house itself is lovely and the location is great, but the number of restrictions made it hard to relax. I would have chosen a different place if I’d known what the stay would actually be like.
Guests need to leave the property neat and free of rubbish on departure; if a greater cleaning service is required, an extra fee will be charged.
No extra adult or children stay at the property as overnight visitors unless pre-arranged with management. Overnight guests will be charged at $65.00 per person.
Please notify the host immediately if something is malfunctioning so it can be rectified. All damages or missing items will need to be paid for by you before departure.
Do not leave any electrical appliances switched on when they are not in use, or when guests are leaving for the day.
Children are not allowed in the spa area without an adult actively supervising in the space for safety. No drinking glasses, bottles or food are to be taken in to the spa area.
