Perfect spot for an extended stay
10.0Beautiful Villa overlooking the ocean. High upon a hill, front deck was our spot for morning coffee and watching planes land. This Villa has everything you could want for an extended stay. Beautifully appointed, wide open spaces, great kitchen. The bedrooms have big closets, great views of the ocean and comfy beds. The tile work in the bathrooms a plus. Attention to detail and cleanliness of the property was spot on. We loved the hot tub in the early morning and after a long day of hiking and touring, Easy access on and off the highway. We took a private tour with Duarte to the West end of the island and had a blast for 7 hours as he stopped at lots of areas and took great care to show us places otherwise unseen. Don’t miss the bird sanctuary, go early during your stay as you will most likely want to go again. We also booked a whale dolphin sunset trip, what a fun evening with lots of Dolphins happy to put on a show! Santa Cruz is 5 minutes from the Villa and downtown Funchal 15 minutes. If you are an avid hiker you’re in luck! Also, a trip over to Porto Santo is a must see as the beach is wonderful with the healing sands and the water calm and warm. Their is a grocery store right down the hill from the Villa that has everything you need to stock your kitchen for your stay. Having a washer and dryer was super and appreciated. Enjoy your stay, relax and explore.
