Everything about Quinta dos Pegões is perfect. We felt we were in a private paradise. Lovely house, beautiful gardens, stunning view of the aqueduct from the seventeeth century. And, last but not the least, the owners and the administrators of the property could not be nicer. We will definitely go back. Fernando e Leila (Brazil)

Our stay at Quinta dos Pegões was sublime. Correspondence before we arrived was punctual, informative and friendly from both Miguel & Muriel (the owners) and from Rui (the manager). The villa is stunning with modern fixtures and fittings and an array of beautiful antique additions that give it a homely feel. The air conditioning units are quiet and functional, (needed in 40 degree heat). The bathrooms are superb with great water pressure. The beds are very comfortable meaning a great nights sleep was assured. Outside, the gardens are lush and exquisite, well maintained and have automatic irrigation that turns on during the night. The outside lounge and seating area is shaded and comfortable with the addition of an excellent, modern BBQ. The best part of the villa though has to be the swimming pool. It is clean and a great size meaning you can actually swim. The sun loungers are new and comfortable.

− Perhaps the addition of a washing machine would improve things. Perhaps the addition of a cafetière.

We didn't quite know what to expect when we booked this villa. We didn't really know the area at all, but thought the photos looked nice. Miguel & Mirium were so lovely, and ready to greet us on our arrival and lead us along the driveway to our home for the week. It was clear straight away how proud they were of their beautiful home, and they had good reason to be. Before we even entered the house we were blown away by the view. We were in a vineyard surrounded by hillsides of trees on one side, the gorgeous cottage on the other, and the aqueduct in the distance. Nothing else. Total privacy. Inside, the villa was just as incredible. Three good double bedrooms, all with their own air conditioning. A well appointed kitchen (not to speak of the barbeque outside), a lovely wooden dining table, and a lounge that is very tastefully decorated with a huge ornate fireplace. And then there is the large window at the end of the lounge that frames the long view across the vineyard to the aquaduct. It's almost like a painting. The swimming pool was a good useable size to relax in. Sunbeds and umbrellas were provided, as well as cushioned seating areas and tables outside. The only problem we had was fixed before I even had a chance to think about it. There was no washing machine when we arrived, but after mentioning it to Miguel he messaged me straight back to say that he'd buy one. He did! And it was fitted the next day! To top it off, Tomar is such a pretty little town. But it is not quite as small as we thought, so there is plenty of life in town at night, and quite a variety of restaurants and supermarkets to choose from. Even lots of fast food places if you have fussy kids! This review sounds too good to be true. It sounds like it was written by the host! My family & I really did spend a blissful week here and we couldn't have been any happier. I'm very jealous of the next person who gets to stay here!

We stayed at Quinta dos Pegões for a leadership retreat and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The view is absolutely stunning, and the hosts Miguel and Miriam are as amazing as the location itself... friendly, kind, and genuinely helpful. We’re already looking forward to coming back with our families.

Gennemført indretning, smukkeste have og poolområde. Udlejer havde anskaffet en helt ny gasgrill, så vi spiste alle måltider udenfor i den smukke pergola. Alt var komfortabelt ude og indendørs. Køkkenet havde alt vi havde brug for og udlejer bød os velkommen med en flaske lokal vin og god introduktion til huset. Vi var løbende i kontakt på WhatsApp enten med udlejer selv eller deres have/pool mand.

− Det er skønt at være omgivet af vinmarker og smuk natur. Men den lokale by (ca. 10-12 min. derfra i bil) var ret uinteressant. Der var ikke meget at give sig til i området, med mindre man vil køre 1-2 timer. Men det er PERFEKT til afslapning og hygge. Gode supermarkeder opvejer mangel på restauranter, da man let kan lave god mad.
