Nice room convenient for the station (which was what I needed).

Altamura is a lovely town and not touristy, and a good base for visiting Matera and Gravina. I walked most of the Cammino Materano while staying at the Polvere di Stelle. Located adjacent to the FAL station so very convenient for train travel (but no railway noise). Some distance from the town centre but not far enough to be inconvenient. Landlord was friendly and helpful.

− The room was rather chilly in late April (central heating not switched on). The breakfasts weren't great (no choice of food items).

Nice place, about a kilometer from the historic center. Although it is next to the railway station it was not noisy. Easy and free parking on the street next to the building and the car is monitored with a camera. The room was not very large, but with everything necessary and quite enough for one night for two people. The bed was large and very comfortable with anatomical pillows. The owner was very kind and helpful, offering us water, soft drinks and coffee at check-in. The apartment has a shared kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals and eat.

− No complains. The breakfast was good, but it can be varied/enriched as besides rusks and marmalade / chocolate it can also include croissants / cornetti, fruits and so on.
