Nice place for a few days in Luxor

We really appreciated the hospitable staff who took care of us in every way and tended to our needs. The place was great with a comfortable apartment and a nice pool to relax in the heat of Luxor.

− The location was not optimal. Quite remote, hard to get there with Uber and very dark to walk in the area by night. On the other hand our hosts arranged for transportation or food delivery whenever we needed it.

The pool is a real highlight.

My stay at Villa Desert Rose, where I spent four nights, was wonderful. The room was spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable, with direct access to the swimming pool, which was especially appreciated considering the hot weather. The pool itself was lovely and a real highlight of the stay. The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of banana plantations, in a charming little village, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Another real highlight was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Abdallah and Mostafa, who were always friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. I also appreciated Hamed and his brother 's kindness. Although Arianna wasn't at the hotel during my stay, she helped me a lot before my trip to Egypt. She gave me excellent advice, answered all my questions, and showed great professionalism and genuine generosity. Her support made planning my trip much easier.

− The only downside is the location, which is quite far from the city center and the ferry, making it difficult to explore Luxor independently, especially in the heat. I think it would be a great idea for the hotel to offer a reliable shuttle or tuk-tuk service to the ferry, as some nearby hotels do. It would make getting around much easier and more affordable for guests.

**Villa Desert Rose: An absolute dream experience in Egypt!**

Villa Desert Rose—so much to say, yet so little space. We were assigned a cozy little apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room, plus unlimited pool access. Everything was spotless, and the bed sheets were even ironed (a true miracle in Egypt!). When we arrived, we asked if they could prepare something for us to eat the next morning since our tour started at 7:00 AM. The gentleman who assisted us boiled eggs, brought bread, fresh cheese, strawberry jam, two bananas, two yogurts, and everything needed to make instant coffee. It was absolutely perfect! The next day, our tour finished early, so we made the most of the pool, which felt amazing. Just a quick tip for future guests: the room key includes the main gate key because it is always locked—100% safe and secure. This was also probably the only place where I didn't feel the constant pressure of tipping, which was incredibly refreshing! Do I recommend it? 100% yes! **Flawless Tour Organization (Ahmed & Arianna)** We also had almost all of our visits, guides, and drivers organized by Ahmed (the owner) and Arianna. I can honestly say that having spent one day without their care, we felt a huge difference. We were treated like royalty. They took us exactly where agreed, provided fresh water first thing in the morning, and when we wanted to change our itinerary for one of the days, they accommodated us with no issues at all! Our trip to Egypt was incredibly short—only 4 days—and we had to carry our bags and luggage with us almost daily to catch flights. They managed everything perfectly so that our bags remained safe in the car while we were sightseeing. Our guide in Giza and Cairo (for 2 days) was Ghada, a lovely and highly knowledgeable young woman who guided us, explained everything, and managed the schedule as if she were doing it for herself. The included lunches were also delicious! In Luxor, we had the pleasure of personally meeting Ahmed, who took us on a tour of Luxor and Karnak.
