Good apartment with approachable host

− 1 - noise until late night due to the loud music from neighbours. Overseas people need to be aware that it is part of the Colombian culture to listen to loud music on the street until late at night, even if nobody can sleep. Authorities are not prepared to impose the laws about noise to businesses and populations in general. Believe it or not, and someone in Colombia told me that if I did not like, I should leave the country. I did it. Note also that the accommodation is located in a party town (El Rodadero/Santa Marta) but the host does not clearly address the problem of loud noise until 4 AM where the accommodation is. 2 - In the ads of the accommodation, the host leaves the reader to believe that the apartment has a private swimming pool. In reality, it is a free small pool for all the residents and guests of a huge residential and holiday building complex. 3 - it is a good apaetmwnt but rhe wear and tear has bot been perodically repaired. 4 - Santa Marta area has a more comfortable temperature around June/July. However, after raining a lot and at night, the temperature drops. If you want to have a shower around these hours, be prepared for a cold shower. Colombians do not write in the ads of their accommodation that there is no hot water in their premises. They think that it is the obligation of foreigners to know it. Only high end accomodations have hot water. As it was said to me, if you do not like the Colombian approach, leave the place. We did it.
