10.0Toplocatie. Weinig luxe (op voorhand duidelijk gecommuniceerd), maar prachtige omgeving en super rustig. Rafael kookt lekkere lokale maaltijden (veel rijst :-)) en je kan er makkelijk de prachtige natuur ontdekken. prijs/kwaliteit is super.
− een kachel in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte zou een fijne toevoeging zijn om op koude/regenachtige dagen te verwarmen en kleren te laten drogen.

9.0Delicious and generous breakfast prepared by the host, Don Rafa. This is a nice place if you want to unwind and disconnect from everyday life. Best enjoyed during the dry seaons (July-August / December-January).

10.0Wonderful place to stay to connect with nature and experience real tranquillity and peace in a homely rural environment. The reserve also has a very interesting family story and is a fantastic example of regenerative tourism. The hosts are extremely friendly and knowledgeable especially Jose who is happy to share his love and fascination for the natural world and Rafa's food is delicious and hearty, perfect for the chilly nights. The accommodation is traditional and humble but feels homely and that is what I liked the most about it. Highly recommend this accommodation within a spectacular nature reserve and the hiking & birdwatching experiences that the reserve offer are very interesting. For birdwatchers and photographers this location is perfectly equipped to spot some unusual species including the distinctive Red-ruffed fruitcrow (Pyroderus scutatus) and the feeders are designed with photographers in mine. There are also some wonderful trails that take you to waterfalls for those who like more of a physical challenge. You could spend days here enjoying the natural surroundings and the biodiversity that the reserve is protecting! Can't wait to visit again : )
