Nice guesthouse a short walk from Berat castle
8.0The room + bathroom had a good size, were in good condition and clean. The breakfast was also good. The guesthouse is merely 5 min on foot from Berat castle (although this means a steep uphill climb from the city centre).
− Parking downhill in the steep driveway was a bit challenging given the worn brakes of my rental car but that was a minor issue. Everything else was fine!

8.0The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The house was very close to the castle , so we could do a quick visit in the morning. The breakfast was nicely presented and tasty. It was served at the terrace with a nice view of the city.There was air conditioning which made the sleep comfortable.
− We were a bit confused where the place was. The Google directions took us to the castle, but there was a sign saying "do not enter" in front of the street we wanted to enter. So we went all around, but then once we got to the street at the other end, it turned out to be a very narrow and quite steep cobbled road. We started on it but the map could not place the house so we turned back. The owner did respond and help us, but to anyone looking for the house - you do need to go up that narrow, cobbled old road with 10% incline and people walking. If you are a new driver this may be discouraging. The house is right on top. What I honestly did not like at all was the parking space. You need to go down a very steep driveway and park. I hesitated to do this at first, but we did successfully manage to park there. However, getting out the next day was a challenge. I had to go backwards (no place to turn), avoid another car and manage to go all the way up. Our rental was a small car that had trouble doing this. I was very nervous because after we did successfully manage to get to the road, the car had a smell as if something had burnt. I would not want to repeat this experience again.

9.0Locatie aan de ingang van het kasteel. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam onthaal. Ontbijt was prima.

− Pittige klim te voet vanuit het centrum maar... goed voor de conditie. Trouwens voor 1€ electrisch busje van en naar het centrum
