My husband and I had the privilege of staying at Home Stay Nunnery for a week, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced not just by the serene beauty of the place, but by the warmth and kindness of everyone here. The young girls at the nunnery were absolutely amazing. Coming from such humble backgrounds, they possess a deep appreciation for everything you can share with them, whether it’s knowledge, time, or simply a smile. In return, they surround you with love and care that feels genuine and profound—something we rarely experience in our fast-paced, materialistic world. We were also deeply moved by Lama and Khenpo, the founders of this incredible place. They took time from their busy schedules to welcome us into their culture, sharing their wisdom and spirituality in ways that made us feel truly connected to the heart of Nepalese Buddhism. They made every effort to ensure our stay was not just enjoyable, but unforgettable. The personal attention and care they gave us is something I will never forget—it was beyond anything we could ever have imagined, especially coming from our often spoiled Western world. The accommodations were wonderful—comfortable, clean, and peaceful. We loved spending our evenings on the terrace, breathing in the fresh air and reflecting on the day’s experiences.
