Great location....but the apartment smells!

− It's very apparent that the owners are well aware of the strong wet dog smell throughout the apartment. As soon as I walked in the door, the smell hit me, they had the big sliding doors open and the windows open in the bedroom, plus a fragrance diffuser on near the entrance. This was a bandaid fix for the smell though, which was really strong in the bedroom next to the bathroom, the bathtub and on the lounge. We spent our days & nights out of the apartment to avoid the smell and had to leave the windows open the whole time we were there. After a couple of nights, I couldn't stand it anymore and made a complaint to which I was told that I would be refunded as long as I didn't do a review!! This place needs a complete makeover, the carpet and underlay need to be replaced, as well as the lounge and the linen needs to properly cleaned to get rid of the lingering stench. I stayed the end of February and by the looks of recent reviews there have been other people experiencing the same as me.....
