Rats and abandoned place

Nice Location , but there are better ones next door.

− This accommodation did not meet basic hygiene or safety expectations. Every night, rats were around searching the room and personal belongings for food. If it wasn’t for the mosquito net, they would also jump on humans like they did to a fellow guest. This raises serious concerns about cleanliness and pest control. This alone made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe. Communication issues made the situation worse. There was no effective way to report or resolve problems or even make basic plans: the person on site spoke no English, internet access on the island was almost never available, and electricity was only provided at night. After boat pick up the responsible for this listing completely disappeared, food was catered buffet-style by local women without any interaction or option to communicate. These conditions severely limited any ability to seek help or plan alternatives. Given these circumstances, this stay cannot be recommended. I would entirely avoid staying on this side of Fam and go to another island instead.

La struttura è molto comoda, direttamente sulla spiaggia e a due passi dal villaggio locale. La famiglia che lo gestisce è molto attenta, disponibile e pronta ad aiutare in tutto. Il cibo buono e abbondante. L’house reef molto carino. Ci sono bimbi sempre sorridenti sul pontile con cui poter giocare. Il bagno in camera una comodità non così scontata a Raja Ampat. Decisamente consigliato, un abbraccio a tutti!

The homestay is not bad, the food is good too. The bungalows are appropriate for this place, there is even a private toilet. The bungalows is right on the beach.

− But the communication with the owner is a really big problem. We agreed on a price for the excursions, but when we returned from the excursion, he asked for double the price. I recommend keeping a correspondence with the owner about the negotiated prices. It was also very difficult during the excursion, because the owner does not speak English at all!

Repas très bons, variés et en quantité plus que suffisante. Fruits presque matin, midi et soir. Les gérants agréables. Situation sur la plage.

− La literie, matelas trop mou. Bungalow sans fenêtres, donc étouffant par manque de circulation d'air et sombre.
