Host is great guy. Kind. Generous. Considerate. Helpful. Great view. Lovely nature all around. Fridge provisioned well.

− You get views because it is on a hill. This also means walking anywhere is hilly.

Perfectly pristine nature, woke up to the songs of birds every morning. The host is nice, responsive and seems to be trying...

− The property has two rooms, I got the "Queen Studio", or Room #1. It does NOT have the view or the nice part of the balcony that you may see and like in the pictures, and it directly faces a car park and the host's house 5 meters away. It offers zero privacy with the curtains open, you hear all noises and conversations from the house, and light always finds its way inside at night despite the host's honest effort to minimize it. For reasons unknown to me, the mattress on the bed felt like it is wrapped with a thick plastic bag, keeping moisture trapped (on you). The AC has cut off twice at night, likely due to power disruptions, leading to unexpected rise in temperature at night and me waking up soaking wet. The guest house is built with no soundproofing and very thin walls, so if two rooms are occupied you hear your neighbors' speech. I was just lucky to have neighbors who don't talk much. The host chose carpets absolutely unsuited for the property - good luck trying to hunt a centipede or other critters inside long-pile carpet. The property is in pristine nature, so some bugs are to be expected. The property only seems to be close to Marigot Bay on the map, but it's actually in the end of an unpaved downhill road, which makes reaching any restaurant an intimidating experience (and returning is worse, since it's uphill).

We had a really pleasant stay. The host gave us a warm welcome and took the time to show us everything, which made settling in easy and comfortable. We also appreciated the small touches, like having some refreshments waiting for us in the fridge. The apartment itself is well equipped, with modern technology and a lovely balcony where we could relax and enjoy the surroundings. Being so close to nature made the whole experience even better. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would be happy to come back.

− Nothing in particular. The only small thing to note is the presence of some insects, which is completely understandable given the natural surroundings and not the host’s fault. It might be helpful to have some mosquito protection available, such as repellents.
