Comfortable stay for a large family
10.0The property is situated very close to the airport and about half an hour to the Remarkables ski slope area. A shopping village only about less than ten minutes away making it very convenient to get groceries or eat out. It’s a really spacious house as well and we loved using the living area which has very comfortable recliners and a fireplace to watch movies. The bedrooms were all very spacious with very comfy beds all with views of the water. There is a bit of worn down parts especially with the carpeting and the rooms but it was very clean and kept in very good condition. The host was also very responsive and helpful. We were running out of dishwashing tablets and toilet paper and they were very quick to deliver it the next morning while we were up in the slopes. Price was also very reasonable for a week stay and we felt the location was really good and very quiet compared to the busier parts closer to Queenstown.
− Some worn down areas such as carpet stains and wear and tear. Also did run out of hot water on one night but that wasn’t a huge problem.
Great for family & friends.
10.0Amazing views and space. Warm. Clean. So much plates/bowls/glassware. Plenty of toilet paper and good quality body wash/shampoo/conditioner. Good washing machine & clothes airer provided. Internet fast, 80Mbps down / 20Mbps up
− Shower-head on wall, instead of handheld, but warm and powerful. Not an issue actually.
Almost premium vacation rental
8.0This is a very nice home with a lot of potential, but there are a few details where it falls short of a premium rental. The view is pretty good, and it's pretty close to Queenstown without being in the worst traffic.
− The carpet is extremely worn on the stairs, and some of the carpet was missing at the bottom of the stairs. Several of the window shades are jammed, and can't be closed. The dryer is mounted upside down from the ceiling, and it was difficult to get all of the clothes back out of it. There are no screens on the windows, and there were tons of bugs inside when we arrived. The ceilings in the bathrooms have bug guts all over them.
