There was great communication with the host. The property, on the other hand, was unacceptable in every way. I got the vibe that someone was living on the property when it didn't have tenants. There was food and drink in the fridge, food and stuff in the cabinets, on the counters. The shower looked as though it wasn't cleaned before we got there. There was hair and dirt in the shower and all along the floors and walls. My husband and I slept on top of the bedding and showered at my DIL hotel room. At one point, we were sitting on the front porch, and the neighbor across the street has a car pull up and repeatedly honked the horn until someone came out, once the person came out and went back in the house the driver of the car pointed a gun with a light on the person walking back into the house. After watching for a few min, you could see them waving the gun around shining the light all over the house. The house was so dirty that we left a day early to go home, losing money on the rental that was already extremely overpriced.
