Would stay again...but the little things need addressing.

Location, furnishings, warm bedding, large bathroom and shower, internet. Comfy and welcoming lounge area and bedrooms. Fire (wood and starters) and heaters in living areas provided. Pillows comfortable.

− Its a shame because we loved most things and would probably book again however some things need to be addressed: 1. It smelled very musty and of cat/dog/possum when we first arrived. It should have been aired prior to guest arrival. 2. Front bedroom carpet needed vacuuming, and unfortunately despite the beds being made so lovely, we found several long strands of someone's hair in the bed after pulling down the covers. This was very off-putting! Were the sheets washed? 3. Some kitchen crockery and utensils were not washed properly - greasy or had food particles on them and in the drawers/cupboards, so off putting also. No colander found, it's a basic item so would be better to include one. 4. Just like little touches can make all the difference to guests' experiences, things like finding an old empty Glen20 spray in the bathroom, when it was needed, with six guests sharing, was annoying. 5. A little more detail/instructions for lighting a fire successfully and using the appliances, in the Cottage information folder, rather than very general info and random pictures of surroundings would be helpful and really appreciated by guests. Sure we had internet but guests don't want to have waste time trying to look this up. Again, little touches make a world of difference. 6. A selection of upright fans are provided in rooms not heaters as stated.
