9.0fabulous location to the workplace i needed to be at
− could do with having a microwave
Lovely place, would like to return in the future!
10.0Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location!!
Fabulous location with beautiful surroundings.
8.0Fabulous location, beautiful setting.
− No cons, however the property was so warm during our stay. We did bring our own fans but do feel fans should have been provided as a matter of courtesy given it was around 30 plus degrees outside.
Great location and accommodation. Host made sure all ok - we would return.
10.0Beautiful location, secluded and very peaceful. The host checked in on us which was very thoughtful.
− It was all good.
Very good
8.0Liked everything apart from the ‘didn’t like’ below
− guests are expected to do a general clean even the windows and wash all the dishes before departure (unlike hotels!) Even was asked under “ appreciated if” if we could strip the bedding. These requirements was only stated in the guest book at the property and not in the online listing, which I found quite unfair. For those booking a getaway to relax or especially if you’re a mum and specifically tired of house chores or anyone with a disability or mobility issue, these unexpected cleaning tasks can make the stay more stressful than it should be. Transparency about these requirements in the listing would have allowed for better planning or choosing a more suitable property.. now i am not very sure if it applies to any holiday homes/cottages etc? -we also had to empty the bins and recycle properly. We could not find the glass recycle hence took all empty glass bottles with us to recycle at home so quite inconvenient. -no dishwasher or washing machine especially if you’re planning to stay for a couple of days and have kids (but this is fine as we were already aware of it/ was mentioned in the description on booking.com) - One of the single beds wasn’t made up, and it didn’t appear ready for guests. I looked under the stairs where spare linens and stuff were kept, but couldn’t find any single bed sheets or a single duvet cover that would fit. It seemed like the bed had been overlooked during preparation, which was inconvenient and not what I expected from a guest-ready accommodation. Hence i had to use an extra large cover which was quite uncomfortable to sleep under and the duvet cover kept on rolling around
We left after two nights had booked seven due the overwhelming stench I think made worse by the warm weather
4.0Beautiful location
− Stench from nearby pig farms was unbearable inability to open doors and windows without flys and other insects filling house
