We loved the apartment and it was perfect for our needs. We would recommend it and would stay again.

The location was perfect for visiting the island and had everything you needed on the doorstep. The beds were comfortable and we liked the layout of the apartment. It was lovely and bright and felt homely.

− There was a drain smell which seemed to be coming from the shower. The pubs nearby were noisy at the weekend. This didn’t stop us sleeping but could be an issue for some people. Some of the kitchen equipment could do with updating e.g. pans and coffee machine.

Great location, nice apartment, enjoyed our stay!

− The shower water was hard to regulate, very hot then cold. Much different from the US.Only a minor blip. Everything else was great!

Flott leilighet svært sentralt. Her bur me gjerne ein annan gong.

Sentralt - kort veg til parkering. Leiligheta var rein, romsleg, gode senger og godt utstyrt.

− Kaffetrakteren var ødelagt - vatnet rant utover benken.

Location was great close to everything

The accomodation was spacious and in a really good location with access to all the loal shops, bars and restaurants. Some of the previous guest reports issues with the noise. Yes, this apartment is on the 2nd floor about a busy area including a pub, but we didn't have an issue. We were there for 1 week in April, only once was there excessive noise, someone with an overly loud motor bike in the vicinity for about 5 minutes.

Excellent location to see Kirkwall as apartment very near to shops, harbour and bus station. Had 2 bedrooms, large living area/dining area/kitchen all in one. It was warm all the time and clean. Homely, rather than ultra modern, but everything essential in apartment. Being near the bus station was good as we went out several times on the bus, instead of using the car.

− Didn't like outside steps up to apartment, followed by more steps up again to top floor. There is no adjacent parking, so you need to be fit enough to carry/wheel your luggage from a car park and then carry it up 2 flights of stairs. Free parking is however available locally. The benefit of being so central outweighed the disadvantage of steps for us. We couldn't find the apartment at first, but owner emailed some specific instructions which was very helpful of her.
