It is a very cosy and nice place, you feel comfortable and you can use the yard for breakfast. The place has WiFi so the owner needs to update the information.

− A kettle for boiling water would have been nice for tea persons but it is ok.

Zweckmäßig mit netten Gastgebern

Nach einem holprigen Start (siehe unten) wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Wohnung ist klein, aber fein. Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende und überwiegend zum Wandern da — dafür völlig ausreichend. Bis auf ein paar Spinnweben war alles sauber, es gab eine Grundausstattung an Geschirr, Handtüchern etc und wir hätten sogar einen Zugang zum Garten (nur leider nicht das passende Wetter dafür). Super war tatsächlich die Lage: fußläufig zum Bahnhof Oberlahnstein, einem Netto und einem Globus. Viele Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür, diverse Gastro in unmittelbarer Nähe, der Zuweg zum Rheinsteig geht quasi direkt vorbei und nach Koblenz haben wir eine Viertelstunde mit dem Auto gebraucht.

− Tipp an alle Buchenden: Vorher informieren, wie und über wen die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgt. Wir sind davon ausgegangen, dass jemand vor Ort ist, weil wir keine alternative Info bekommen hatten. In Endeffekt standen wir 20 min und 3 erfolglose Anrufe später immer noch vor verschlossener Tür und kamen nur rein, weil wir aus Verzweiflung bei allen Familien im Haus einmal geklingelt haben. Hat dann auch geklappt, aber ein bitterer Beigeschmack blieb trotzdem. Die Wohnung ist im Keller und dadurch relativ kühl. Wir mussten im Oktober fast durchgehend heizen — wer kein Fan von Heizungsluft ist, sollte lieber im Sommer kommen. Das Schlafsofa ist zwar super von der Härte, aber relativ schmal und kurz (in allen Dimensionen kleiner als unser 1,40x2,00 m Bett zu Hause). Wenn wir den Gastgebern einen Tipp geben könnten, wäre es eine Erweiterung der Küchenausstattung: Wir haben u.a. einen Wasserkocher (oder einen kleinen Topf), eine Schere und vernünftige Weingläser vermisst. Es gab übrigens auch kein WLAN. Keine Kritik an dieser Stelle, in der Beschreibung ist es auch nicht aufgeführt, aber falls jemand wie wir zu schnell drüber liest und nicht darauf achtet, vielleicht als Hinweis nicht verkehrt.

Small but very cosy and nicely decorated apartment. The room was well aired on arrival. property is clean. Large window on one side. very cool inside despite the warmer weather. lovely little terrace behind the property where you can sit and eat. Had a little chat on booking before entering as I didn't know exactly what bell to ring. After the hosts opened the door they where very helpful. They also helped out a lot with orientation and pointing out some stores and restaurants nearby. It has all you need for one or two persons to have a lovely cosy away from home. the village has great food options and a bakery where you can get hot coffee in the morning. Its a short drive from Koblenz and well worth to stay on the outskirts rather then the city center. Lovely little park at walking distance as well. Although its a busy street I hardly had trouble finding a free parking spot nearby every day I got back to the apartment. Had a very nice stay from Thursday till Sunday. The bakery is closed on Sunday but when I told the hosts that they invited me back in to grab a cup of coffee. Thank you again for the great stories and the coffee.

− Everything was great. Maybe the only little bit of complaint would be the satellite tv. It worked great but later in the evenings somehow the image quality goes down a bit with some cracks on the signal. not exactly sure why. Didn't really bother me that much as it only happened very late in the evenings,.
