THE best place to stay for nature lovers: simple, cozy, and featuring a hammock with a view of Pico
9.0The hostel is located on a picturesque beach surrounded by nature. The individual cabins are lovingly built, and everything is powered by solar energy. In addition to the shared restrooms and shower stalls scattered throughout the grounds—where you can enjoy a very romantic shower under the open sky—there’s also a communal cabin where the owner, Thomas, serves meals. The food is simple but very good. Thomas makes sure that no one leaves the table hungry. :) Despite the language barrier (no english), Thomas and his staff were always friendly and helpful, whether it was booking a guide, giving us tips on the area, or helping us get our rental car started. We felt very comfortable there and would definitely come back anytime.
− At first, we had trouble finding our cabin. They all look very similar, so we marked ours with a plant. Inside the cabins, hooks and maybe a clothesline would be great! In the tropics, people are reluctant to put their things on the floor because of centipedes and other creepy-crawlies. That’s why places to hang things are essential. Plus, everything gets damp quickly by the sea—another reason to hang your things up.
