A great, low cost option for visits to Durham and surrounding areas!
9.0We chose this property for the price and proximity to Beamish Museum which is just a short drive away. It was advertised without breakfast and yet the host provided some basic cereals, fresh milk, fruit juice etc, which was a bonus. Plates and cutlery were also supplied, with permission to bring local takeaways back to the room. The facilities were exceptionally clean, with the room refreshed each day, which wasn't expected at this price point.

9.0The landlord looked after us very well. The room was clean and well-equipped, including the breakfast arrangements - cornflakes, youghurt and fresh milk, with tea and coffee making facilities. Sacriston is Ideally situated for Durham, a 25 minute bus ride (No 16) away. The inn has a good sized private car park. Sacriston is a former mining village, proud of its industrial heritage, with well-kept gardens displaying items of mining equipment. There are several food shops and a range of takeaways - burgers, pizzas, fish and chips, etc.
− The only minor niggle was the lack of BBC channels on the TV. The landlord said he was getting it re-tuned at the weekend.
Very cosy and convenient for visit to Durham. The host Barry was very friendly and helpful.

10.0Spotlessly clean, well-equipped, great shower, quiet, comfortable bed, tastefully decorated and a great guy running it. Sad we didn’t find it sooner as we’d have stayed here more.
