10.0We are return visitors to Sri Lanka and Kandy, and can recommend this as the best place to stay in the entire nation. Tremendously good value. Jaliya and Sharma, our hosts, are the kindest, warmest people you could hope to encounter. Nothing was ever too difficult. They assisted with arranging transport, and even facilitating and hosting our local friends for an extended day visit to their home, Sharma consistently provided the most AMAZING food, and Jaliya was always on hand to assist with laughing, philosophical, historical and cultural discussions. There home is very clean, beautiful and surrounded by verdant gardens. It is a short distance from the busy streets of Kandy, in a quiet area where you will experience the friendliness of an authentic Sri Lankan neighbourhood. Do yourself a favour and book to stay here. We had the pleasure of staying here for 9 days, but wished it was for 90 days. Thank you Jaliya and Sharma, we miss you already.
