An excellent location and a fabulous house! A beautiful view out the window, including views of the water. Very spacious and well maintained. A lovely note left by the owners on our arrival and beautiful artworks in the house. Would definitely like to return.

− I found Buxton to be completely over the top and annoying for what was only a 2 night stay. Multiple missed calls from them in the lead up about nothing, despite them having my credit card/ license details and having deducted the accommodation fee from my account. I also was not really expecting an additional $500 bond, deduction ahead of the arrival, which I still have not heard when I will be getting back! I think this is too much when you have all of my details and it is only a 2 night stay. It was also not mentioned on the listing on booking.com. Also I had to call them 25 minutes after the check in time to get the details to allow us to enter the property and I wouldn't say the person on the phone had a great manner about this.

Very enjoyable. I would definitely return there.

While we had a great stay due to the area and the group we were with, there were a number of deficiencies with the property. To state at the outset while we did crack the coffee plunger which was taken out of our bond, however the upstairs heaters in the bedrooms keep flicking the fuse every 10mins meaning that we had to go outside and flip it even for it to flick off in 10mins again in the freezing cold and meaning the upstairs bedrooms were freezing the whole time, there was no corkscrew or even tea towels to drive dishes other than a limited amount of paper towel plus the world’s smallest cheese greater which was very helpful when making lasagne, plus all the emails mentioned firewood for an open fire only for it to be a faux led electric heater.

− There was no air conditioning upstairs where the bedrooms are so it makes for a very uncomfortable night when hot
