The Garden was beautiful, the coffee strong but enjoyable.

− Upon arrival, we found that the accommodation was not as advertised in your listing. The photos were misleading, and the unit did not meet our expectations or basic standards of cleanliness and safety. We were expecting a room looking out to the beautiful garden but instead were taken to the attic. One of the pillows had a big stain on it, the air conditioning did not work and the only flat part of the TV was the screen as it was a very old box TV and there was mold on the ceiling. The safety gate could not lock and the only form of privacy was a loose mesh curtain draped over the gate. Regarding the stairs, we did not feel very comfortable going up and down as we had to be selective as to where to step (needs maintenance) This was our first experience booking a stay as we never really get to “travel” so we were really disappointed but still tried to make the best of it. It was just not worth the money spent.

What did You not liked? Just after payment was made for my I was informed they are fully booked. Booking dot com gets the blame. No support system in place.

− When fully booked inform the agents you advertise your availability with. My money is lost down the drain and nobody cares. Booking dot com is unreachable.

Exceptional stay

This was a lovely oasis in Porterville. Friendly and accommodating hosts and staff. We were even given covered parking for our new car. Lovely restaurant on the premises with great food and ambiance. We enjoyed relaxing and eating, breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. Comfortable accommodation. We had a wonderful visit. And we will definitely be back.

Breakfast was good value for money.

− The hostess was quite hostile when we arrived, claiming that she did not receive our booking for the first night, although I showed her that we paid full price for both nights. She made a plan and we could stay for both nights, but we did not feel welcome.
