The best place to stay in Angola

Everything! The host Antonio is incredibly helpful. He booked my bus tickets twice through the Macon app, which doesn’t allow payments with foreign cards, he also got his half to help out when I had other issues. He speaks perfect English, so there’s no language barrier here. The hostel is secure with a guard there 24/7 to let you in. It always felt safe here. There’s a free breakfast included of an omelette and bread with coffee or tea. The price is really affordable. Laundry can be done for a very cheap price here. The staff here are all very friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the shower was always warm. Absolutely fantastic place to stay, and the only accommodation I’ll be looking at if I return to Luanda in the future!

Great place in Luanda

Located in a relatively safe district in town. Nice rooftop for eating and socialising. Great hostel-like atmosphere and one can meet others to team up as Angola is still relatively difficult for solo travellers to venture into the wilderness. It took me half an hour to walk from the Largos dos Escolas after disembarking from the airport bus.

Die Mitarbeiter sind super, Gomez, Joyce,Giselle, immer hilfsbereit, alles sehr sauber.bequeme Betten,AC, Küche vorhanden, die Dachterrasse zum Frühstück und abends sehr nett. Um andere Reisende zu treffen ist das Hostel perfekt. Thank you for everything, also to the owner Antonio.. I will come back...

The only hostel in the capital, there's no better option.

The staff are nice. Can meet many people from different countries there. The boss can help arrange cheap car for tour and money exchange.

The food was amazing! Every dish was a great portion, dinner often had leftovers. The staff were welcoming and friendly and ready to teach you Portuguese which was very helpful.

− 1) They don't accept card payments even though the listing clearly says only card and no cash. That meant upon my very late arrival, I needed tens of thousands of kwanza to pay for my stay. After walking to 5 different ATMs, we caught scooters and went to 3 more before finally finding an ATM that worked. 2) There's only one shower shared between 3 four person dorms. There are two toilets but the upstairs one is clearly meant for staff as it's used for cleaning supplies storage, clothes washing, and their changing room 3) Although the food was great they don't have most of what's on the menu 4) The staff have no concept of sound. They thunder up and down the stairs, running and stomping like kids playing tag sending vibrations down your spine. When they clean, lightweight plastic chairs that a child could lift are dragged across the floor for hours, scraping like nails on a chalkboard with bass. They stay up and party late. 5) Speaking of party, the host had a huge family reunion. Not a problem I thought, they're going to party and have a good time I'll leave for the night. The host insisted repeatedly that he would keep the noise to a minimum. The party ended around 3am. The very loud cleanup and conversations ended around 4am. Around 11:35 that night, a staff member came bursting in my dorm room to make the adjacent bed that had been vacated that morning and 10 minutes later a new guest was shown in. This place was so disturbingly un peaceful I had to end my stay early. As a digital nomad, I highly do NOT recommend this place. They expect you to party with them and it's a difficult environment to work in. If you're on a short vacation or need a quick rest before heading off, this is ok and is affordable and the food is great. Otherwise, there are plenty of more peaceful accomidations that are reasonably priced in better areas
