Excellent place to stay if you like a bit of peace and quiet
9.0The location was nice and quiet at night - perfect for a good night's sleep. It is close to a bus stop and you are in Edinburgh city in about 30 minutes. There is a Tesco nearby and a bakery where you can get breakfast. The host is very hospitable and kind. The whole place is nice and clean, and you get nice fresh towels. In the room you can make tea or coffee - there's a kettle and a coffee machine. And, most importantly, the bed is very comfortable.

4.0− Host said check in until midnight. Unfortunately my flight was delayed due to bad weather and I arrived later than expected. I arrived at Alberto’s to find my booking cancelled and him refusing to let me in unless I paid extra £20 for a late check in fee. In total paid £112 for a very simple accommodation as I had no other option. I asked what the extra fee was for and was told that after midnight the booking is no longer available through booking.com so he was allowing me to stay through his own free will. Therefore he could be asking a lot more and £20 is very generous as he could have told me to ‘go away and sleep under a bridge’. Altogether an unpleasant experience.
