10.0Charming and cozy, this B&B in small and lovely town of Tullamore (minutes from the train station) was like comfort food after spending most of our trip in larger Irish cities. Spotless and quiet, it was the relaxing afternoon/evening we didn't know we needed. The owner/operators were beyond helpful and kind, and big bonus points for the property's adorable security guard -- a small rescue pup named Buddy. (We wanted to steal him.) The little downtown was filled with good food, great coffee/desserts, and friendly locals. We walked from town to the B&B, and it was the greenest and cleanest smelling little place I've ever visited.
− NOT the fault of the B&B, but know that the FreeNow app, which was our main/only connection to calling for taxis, did not work in the area. We weren't prepared. Suggestion: in advance of your arrival there, find one or two local companies and call them the old fashioned way to book rides. Also discovered you can pre-order a driver (even back to Dublin $$$$) through the Booking.com app.

8.0Sehr nette Gastgeber, großes Zimmer (2), bequemes Bett, modernes Bad, sehr große begehbare Dusche mit kräftigen Wasserstrahl, Blick in den Garten, Parkplatz direkt am Haus
− Etwas abgelegen und kein Frühstück, was aber klar sein dürfte. Etwas hellhörig. Hundegebell Sonst ein paar Kleinigkeiten/ Tipps: Es fehlt ein Schreibtisch statt der hohen Kommode, an die man sich nicht setzen kann. Ein hoher Spiegel im Zimmer fehlt. Ansonsten (auch im Bad) wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten (Board im Bad?) 1-2 Wandhaken im Zimmer wären gut. Der Wasserkocher hat keine separate Stromplatte, so muss der kleine Wasserkocher immer komplett zum Waschbecken zum Befüllen.
