Appalling Stay: Avoid at All Costs

− I booked Mike Studio Verdun expecting the apartment shown online. What I got instead was a completely different unit that felt more like a neglected slum than a rental property. The place was filthy: rusty shower fixtures, grimy mirrors, and a liquid stain on the floor in front of the toilet that looked suspiciously like urine. I couldn’t even bring myself to shower without keeping my slippers on. There were no proper bedsheets: only a thin mattress cover, two uncomfortable pillows with cases, and heavy wool duvets that looked neither clean nor usable, especially in the suffocating heat of mid‑July in Beirut. The AC situation was equally unacceptable. Only one unit could be turned on at a time, initially capped at 24°C. I had to insist just to bring it down to 21°C. They also failed to mention that the building’s generator shuts off for several hours a day, meaning the elevator becomes unusable, a critical detail when the apartment is on the 4th floor. Check‑in was delayed despite being within the posted hours. I had to wait half an hour for someone to show up, then arrived to find the elevator off, and had to wait an additional half hour for the generator to be switched on. The service was unfriendly, unhelpful, and far from professional. Overall, this was an appalling experience. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere. This place is absolutely not worth any amount of money.

*I had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment!* Everything was absolutely perfect – the place was cozy, quiet, and very centrally located, which made everything super convenient. What really stood out, though, was the host: incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He took so much time to make sure I felt comfortable and settled in, which I really appreciated. The apartment had a warm and homey feel, and I felt completely at ease during my entire stay – just like being at home. I would definitely come back and can warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay.

Mike hotel is awesome in location in center of towm , cleanliness with super service and hospitality. Mr Malik the owner, exerted his utmost support during my stay. Thats why he is succeeding in his buisness. I recommend everybody visiting beirut to experience Mike hotel and get amazed.
