Lovely short break in the Forest of Dean, fantastic location, hosts were very helpful.
8.0Beautiful setting for a holiday cottage - by a large fishing pond surrounded by farmland and woods. In July, the sky was full of swallows, swifts, martins, goldfinches and other birds and butterflies. Despite the heatwave, the bedrooms remained cool, with no need for fans. Simple cottage but well equipped with everything we needed, plus an EV charger (pay as you go) which was really helpful.
− Garden by side of cottage not enclosed - so if you are going with a dog, needs a lead or constant surveillance as sheep often wander by! Bathroom needs a little TLC.

Nature lovers' paradise
9.0Delightful little cottage on Noxon Pond which is actually a mini lake. It has a pretty garden and a small patio where you can drink your coffee and watch the wild geese and ducks on the water. It is very attractively decorated, with comfy beds and a full kitchen, ideal for a family or 2 friends traveling like us.
− The frying pans were worn out, and the cafetière was broken.
