Overall we enjoyed staying at the property and loved the hot tub! 😀

The property is a nice size and original wooden construction was a amazing! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of kitchen equipment, towels etc. Our host did respond to us reaching out about some of the issues we were facing. But these were all avoidable.

− Some areas like; the BBQ, top windows (covered in dead flies), master bedroom balcony (had a pile of dead unsightly grubs on the doorstep) hadn’t been cleaned in a good while. Also there were no bins outside for our rubbish. Some of the photos didn’t reflect the current state of the property’s exterior which has deteriorated. For example there was no sandpit - this was completely overgrown and boarded over.

Superb cottage

The location is perfect. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. The stairs and the fireplace are magnificent. The host was available. We did snowshoe as a family and the land surrounding the area is very beautiful.I will comme back for sure however, what I did not like must not be an issue next time. I still recommended the cottage the size is perfect for a family. We did appreciate our stay.

− As a high end rental location, I expected everything to be perfect. However, the spa was not cleaned nor the water quality and PH balance done properly and filled like I should be. Although I could have balanced the water in the spa, there was no chemicals provided available as told by the owner. Frankly, I should have not been ask to do the job by myself. As a high end rental location, it should have been done properly before we arrived. Also, due to an electricity blackout from 20h to 22h, and as a result the water pump pressure went down and we did not have water from 20h to the following day at 8h. We couldn't reach the owner to find out how to restart the water well pump before 8h am. It was a minor issue but none of less a situation that could have been avoided should we have been able to reach the owner rapidly. (We sent an email, we sent a message via Booking.com and we even called but we were answered back the following day. It would be a good idea to provide information on how to restart the water pump in case of electricity disruption. But overall, the owner was nice enough to offer us a late check out for 14h which was appreciated.
