A great wee lodge

10.0

What an excellent find. A perfect wee lodge for our family of four when visiting Alton Towers for a few days. Very clean, excellent amenities, lovely enclosed garden with plenty of room for throwing a frisbee around. It was a heatwave when we visited and John was very helpful in sourcing a second fan for the kids room overnight. I'll be recommending this lodge to friends who are looking to visit the area and would definitely return.

The bedrooms are very bright but luckily we brought eye masks with us which solved the issue of the morning summer sun.

I loved the style of the lodges. If the weather hadn't been so unbearably hot I would have rated it even higher. The beds, the furniture and facilities were of a high standard. The garden is quite bare, but I can see it's potential from tree planting that has taken place I really appreciated the ev charging onsite. Some nice pubs within easy driving distance.

It's a bit remote (but therefore quiet) and there are no facilities close by. All within a few minutes drive away though. The patio doors were impossible to close in the very hot weather. Could just about close them with some effort as it cooled throughout the evening. Groundsman (Will) was quick to come out to have a look.

The Best for our toddler and pup

The massive enclosed garden is great for our dog and 1 year old to run around and the bbq. Will 100% be coming back. John was a great host and lovely to talk to.

Everything was perfect

Great location, lovely views and outside space

9.0

Lovely location, wonderful views and plenty of outside space. Great facilities in lodge, makes good use of the space inside. Clean and tidy.

Bedrooms were very light, blinds didn’t block out much light at all - not much of an issue of adults only but children found it tricky to stay asleep early morning.

Peaceful and quiet.

The Lodge was perfect for our 2 night stay (2 adults). Very homely and comfy with enough space for us. Having milk in the fridge when we got there was a big plus for me, having your first brew in a new place sets the tone for the rest of the stay. The large garden area and patio were great. We were lucky to see hares tearing around the gardens each morning. It's a very peaceful set up with a small number of lodges with plenty of space between them.

Slightly picky thing for me was the blinds are not quite thick enough to block out the daylight in the early mornings.
