The worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. As soon as we entered the cottage there was an overwhelming smell of damp or mould. All the bed linen felt damp to the touch, even the carpet felt damp and the toilet roll! The couch and beds were musty. Opening windows did not clear the smell. It might have been nice a long time ago but the cottage badly needs renovation. There are visible signs of damp and the soft furnishings look very old and smell musty. I turned the oven on and there was a cloud of greasy smoke. The fridge had a large pool of old water in it, and the dishwasher was dirty inside. I had booked for a 4 night stay but we left as soon as we could. We had to spend one very uncomfortable night there - wrapped in a blanket from home- as we arrived in the evening. We left first thing in the morning. It was by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in and incredible when you consider the £600 charged for 4 nights stay. The property complex itself looks like it might have been nice 20 years ago but has fallen into a bad state. There were no signs for the accommodation on the road, so it was hard to find. The swimming pool looked like it hadn't been used in years and had 10 cm of water in it. I had to book alternative accommodation elsewhere to save our holiday, so this has been an extremely negative and expensive experience.
