− Avoid! The apartment is dark, depressing and much of the furniture is broken or unsafe. The photos are Not reflective of the reality. It’s dirty, dilapidated, not maintained at all. The good reviews are fake. And the price is a rip off. I would not recommend this property to other travelers. It’s truly awful. Im a seasoned traveler and never stayed anywhere this appallingly bad. Peeling paint, rusted appliances. Plus the front entrance had a construction crew with a hole in the ground on our stay.

Location is excellent, 100 meters to beach. Patio was great -- delightful at sunset for a cerveza and hear the restaurants start to come alive. Place was spacious. Loved having kitchen and living areas separate from bedroom. Felt almost like a house. Logistics of the rental were efficient and great. Enjoyed the nightly bats swooping around; also a coati that lives in the tree. Delightful -- feel like you are in nature.

− Kitchen is a little cramped and some of the pots could use replacing -- scratched up teflon. Beach chairs were old and not particularly comfortable. As others have noted, the bands at a few restaurants down the street will play loud enough to prevent sleep. Others noted that they tend to stop by 10. Not so Christmas week -- two nights they went till midnight or beyond. And their playlist was some pretty repetitive -- pterodactyl rock seems to be enjoyed by the boomer ex-pats from Toronto and Montreal, but how many times do we need to hear Born to be Wild at 1 am?

Nice apartment with difficult nearby business

The apartment was very nice, nicely furnished and well equipped. Very spacious with alot of storage. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful with any needs.

− A new bar opened up near the apartment with loud, live music that starts late. If you are a late night person, this would not be of concern or a disruption. However, if you go to bed before 10pm, it was quite difficult to sleep. The duration is apparently different on different nights. This is by no means a slam or reflection on the apartment. There is nothing they can do about nearby businesses but future customers need to be aware.

I would definitely go back in a heartbeat!

− Nothing really. Shower wasn’t great but I think that seems to be an issue in puerto Morelos.

A rare private and safe place in the heart of downtown, close to everything and the playa

Location, location, location! Well furnished kitchen. Towels and linens smell fresh and good. Very comfortable mattress. Very quiet at night with the air conditionning and windows closed. Even with them open, it's a quiet zone. There is music from the restaurant next door however, it is super mellow and not loud. Alma was welcoming and helpful. The rooster next door adds to the village vibes.

− Patio door lets the bugs in (ants, mosquitos and geckos) and the air conditonning out. It's stressful to have to remember to put a rock to prevent the door from locking you outside. You don't necessarily want to worry about bringing your phone out there in case this happens especially on the weekend when there is not host on the premises. Kitchen: having only a small cutting board is not ideal. When you come back at night, you might want to open the lights to walk through the short hall however, there is no switch to turn them off once you're up there (logistical). When the neighbors' dogs start barking it may be a bit annoying but never long enough to be a nuisance. The bed sheets could be more breathable. This is a first world problem but the chef at Tanino's make loud cutting sounds (chopping) and when you don't know what it is, you may get up in the night to check if someone's knocking on the door.
