Stalwart and spacious hotel for short or long stays!
10.0This place has been around forever and it’s still the most room square footage and amenities for the price in NYC. Great place especially if you’re traveling with a partner, the rooms are large enough flr luggage and still moving around comfortably. Super comfortable bed, great sexy dark decor & styling, good water pressure shower. Also an incredible location, right next to a subway station, tons of incredible food and dining, and great vintage shopping in the lower east side. You really feel immersed in NY city life and my favorite neighborhood and hotel.
− I’ve always had great stays, but this time I had a neighbor who would talk on the phone at 6am and it literally sounded like she was in my room. I’ve never experienced that other times I’ve stayed here, I always thought the hotel was quiet (it is quiet from street noise), but this was unusual, like they forgot insulation between my and this other neighbor’s rooms. It was a huge bummer two mornings in a row. The only other small nitpick: The full length mirror is on the back of the bathroom door making it awkward to use. Simple design fix!
