A picturesque location with charming details, but the experience marred by poor service and theft.
4.0The breathtaking surroundings, beautiful decorative touches, friendly staff, and convenient in-house tuk-tuk service to the reserve gate. The stay was reasonably priced, and I appreciated the ample water provided and the complimentary extra night as compensation for the missing airport shuttle.
− Disorganised service, particularly with consistently late breakfasts (particularly frestrating when getting up early to go birdwatchin in the rainforest), unresolved maintenance issues (leaking toilet, broken locks), and poor communication. Missing airport shuttle led to significant extra costs. I left my laptop charger there, after confirming with the manager that they had found my charger (an object of great value to me), I sent a driver to collect it. When my driver arrived, the charger was missing and he was forced to returned empty-handed - causing significant cost to me and distress to my driver. Eventually, whoever took it returned it and it was sent on a motorbike to me the next day.
